We are re-opening xx ..

Exciting news!! We have decided to reopen our doors … a gentle start for now.

Our beautiful shop will re open on Saturday 4th July from 10am - 4pm, and then on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays until further notice.

It’s going to be an exciting week ahead, getting everything sparkly.
We have new books, cards, plants, flowers and some gorgeous rusty garden metalwork to show you.

If you are more comfortable shopping from home, we will be continuing with our plant and flower collections and deliveries, and our plant list (soon to include house plants) , Is always available online at shop.thepottingsheds.com . It will be constantly updated to share with you.

This date coincides with the first farmers market to be held here in a while, with stalls spaced out in the new barn and outside.

Inspired by ..

Inspired by the grassy hills you see in fields with a solitary tree .... we have attempted to recreate the feeling on a much smaller scale.

A tree, planted not centrally, but a little on the wonk and slightly leaning, is under planted with a combination of perennials and grasses to emulate a wild flower meadow…

We have also used buxus balls of different sizes to continue the gentle mounding shape of the bed... 

The perennials include knautia, nepeta , spires of salvia caradonna, Achillea Moonshine
and the amazing little aster monch and
catanache caerula.

Grasses include a stunning blue oat grass and the simple little filler Deschampsia 

Geranium Johnsons blue weaves through the grasses at the edges of the border ... 

We can’t wait to revisit in a few weeks to see how it is establishing xx

We have been thinking a lot about the recent guidance on small non essential shops being able to open from the 15th June.
However much we are missing all of our customers and our beautiful shop, we don’t want to rush into this, jeopardising the sacrifices we have all made in the past weeks.

We have decided that we won’t be opening our doors just yet. We will however be continuing with our plant and flower deliveries, and will be adding new stock onto our website which we will happily deliver locally or post out to you.
