We are really enjoying weaving our way through the plant display tables at the back of the shop and now have the room to display all the plants that prefer a little more shade at the the front of the little shop.
The beautiful rusty archway entrance is where you can see a selection of plants put together to create a ready made garden. All of the plants are then displayed on the tables for you to buy. There are so many stunning perennials in flower at the moment that we haven’t any room left for many shrubs. Newly in are eupatorium, perfect for making a statement at the back of a border, veronicastrum, another tall perennial with strong spikes of colour and beautiful anemone September Charm. When the perennials start to die back we will fill the benches with shrubs.
In the courtyard we have made room for our favourite shrub hydrangea… we have the stunning Annabelle with massive round Pom Pom flowers and paniculata Limelight whose flowers change from acid green through white and then pink. These look amazing with geranium Rozanne that flowers all through the summer.
We have been pinching plants from the display tables to use on our landscaping jobs this week which have looked great …
Meanwhile in the cutting patch the disastrous start is completely forgotten… we are collecting buckets of flowers every week to make beautiful, simple posies that are available by the back door of the shop. We are already excitedly collecting up new seeds to sow this Autumn so next year will be even better !
We are open 10-5pm today and tomorrow. Happy weekend xx
