Thank You ..

Well we made it …. Christmas Eve.
Who could ever have imagined what this year had in store for all of us, 2020 will certainly be a memory!

IMG_6609.jpeg

We wanted to take a moment, to say an especially huge thank you to you, for your kindness, for your understanding and for the amazing support which you have shown to us throughout this weird, wonky, and unexpected year.

IMG_6606.jpeg

It’s been a challenge for everyone and everything, but thankfully, we are still here, we survived, we have learnt a lot and we are very very grateful.

IMG_6605.jpeg

We are closed now for a holiday. The gardeners and landscapers will be back to work on the 4th January , and this little shop will reopen on the 5th with our fabulous 50% sale.

We wish you a peaceful Christmas and a hopeful and happy New year.

Our online shop is always open .. simply click just here.

Have a lovely day wherever you are xx

Oh so quiet ..

A day of batting about, a quiet house which is totally lovely. Weekdays spent at home always feel very unusual and such a treat.

IMG_5667.jpeg

A cake is baked.

Tiny pale violas have been planted.

The dog is walked (I am still trying to do over 10,000 steps a day to combat my slug-ness) and bathed (she hates it) .

IMG_5673.jpeg

Books are scattered about as one is picked up and discarded as another catches my eye.

I was recently bought a very very beautiful tree fern, thank you. There is time today to notice that more of the leaves have unfurled.

And I have just finished “The Queens Gambit”. Wasn’t it lovely, Beth was an inspiration. I wonder how many of us have dug out our chess sets.

In other news, I dyed my very favourite dress using avocado stones … it’s come out so patchy. I did everything I usually do but alas, it’s a disaster.
Of course the worst bit is at the front, the most visible part. Any thoughts to remedy this? It was from actual Lithuania so getting a replacement will be tricky.

Have a lovely day xx

Week 1..lockdown 2 ..

The first day of lockdown brought autumn cleaning , all the candles being lit ( has there been a power cut? .. they said) and James Morrison.

IMG_5236.jpeg

It felt so odd this morning not to be packing my basket and heading into our little shop.
Instead the shop can come to you.

These slouchy socks are rather beautiful, the smaller size will be back in stock soon but we still have a few pairs of the men’s size.

My aim is to walk much more every day during lockdown. I have noticed, since social distancing, that in our little shop I have become really rather stationery and slug-like. Rather than bat about all the time, I am mostly sat safely behind my perspex screen, with my chocolate tin. Not now though, my Nell and I will make up a flask, and come rain or shine, head off.

IMG_5262.jpeg

Navigation isn’t my strong point so this should be fun.

Have a lovely day xx
