The Potting Sheds are currently transforming an old unloved recreational ground into a beautiful space for people to enjoy.

The transformation so far is amazing, and this week the shopgirl helped in creating a natural play area in one of the circles of which there are three.

We made a willow dome and tunnels, plus three gorgeous woven nests for children to enjoy.

Next week sees the tree trunks being turned into a train by the chainsaw man. I can’t wait to see those.

The rec is closed whilst work is in progress but it will be very much worth the wait.

Ps .. It isn’t my birthday, I just like my waterproof dungarees very much xx

Spring wreath making workshop ..

A lovely evening of Spring wreath making in our little shop at Cedar Farm.

If you would like to spend a couple of hours making your very own spring wreath, and a twiggy wreath (It may be a lovely thing to share as it’s Mother’s Day soon), then we would love you to join us.

All materials will be provided, you may just like to bring a pinny.

Prosecco and cake will of course, be provided.

6.30 - 8.00pm on April 3rd.

Late January ..

It is pouring down with rain. it had been my plan today to be outside digging over our tiny shop garden and finishing off our little chestnut paling fence that surrounds it ... but, being a practical type, I am wearing a tulle dress and have no waterproof coat with me, so I am going to stay inside with the shop fire lit, the little garden will wait until next week.

A very particular gentleman telephoned with a request of two table wreaths to surround candles for a special occasion, I have made those, whilst listening to the rain bat against the windows. Please notice the ruler, for precision, just in case he is reading this.

Tins have been painted, Calamine by Farrow and Ball if you wondered, and planted with spring bulbs, primroses and alpines.

Wedding flower quotes have been sent, birthday flowers collected, customers have been chattered too, friends have visited and After Eights purchased for my dinner date later.
