Wisteria tips ..

It’s National Gardening week so we thought a garden-y tip would be utterly the thing for today, hope you enjoy it. 

Wisteria can be planted at any time of the year and It really takes very little to achieve fat buds just about to burst with colour 

A nice sunny wall and pruning twice a year is all that these vigorous climbers need. 

We prune once in July/August to remove all the whip growth. This keeps its shape and stops it taking over. 

Then again in February/March, reducing the summer pruned shoots to two buds so you can see the beautiful flowers in May.

Its our farmers market tomorrow from 10am and our shop is fully stocked with plants and flowers.

At last, lighter brighter days are here meaning that hopefully, very soon, we will be spending hours on end in the garden.

We have a gorgeous selection of plants, flowers and wreaths at the shop and this Easter weekend Is a perfect time to make a start planting up your pots and baskets. 

Of course, if you prefer, you can bring all your pots and containers in and we will happily plant them up for you. 

Our gardeners can help with any aspect of garden maintenance, be it mowing, weeding, pruning or a spring tidy up.

We are open 10-5pm all over the Easter weekend, have a lovely time xx
