A trip was planned with great excitement. Shop shopping was our aim. We headed to Wales ...

And ... the very beautiful Devon

We have returned with our heads spinning with ideas, inspiration and excited at the many beautiful things which will be in our little shop and online soon. 

We also bought the most beautiful old stand in which to display our flowers.

 

Top tips to keep those spring blooms blooming

At The Potting Sheds shop we have been busying away making up posies and bunches of our disorganised flowers all ready for the weekend and Mother's Day. 

In amongst all the snippings, paper and twine, we’ve found time to pull together some of our top tips to make sure you keep those spring blooms blooming…

Our Five Top Tips to Fresh Florals

1. Remove leaves which are submerged in water. 

2. Change water often. 

3. Trim stems regularly. 

4. Use a flower preservative. 

5. Keep away from sourcess of heat if possible. 

6. Remove all wilted flowers.

A late summer wedding...  roses, astranthia, jasmine, eucyluptus and chrysanthemum for the utterly gorgeous D and L.  

Chrysanthemum can be controversial but we are on a mission to explore new things!!
